High Cube vs
Standard Containers

Standard and high cube shipping containers primarily differ in height. Standard containers are typically 8'6" (2.6 meters) in height, while high cube containers are 9'6" (2.9 meters) high, offering an extra foot of vertical space. This additional height provides more interior volume, making high cubes suitable for taller cargo or when extra space is needed for handling equipment like forklifts.

No, unfortunately you cannot. Container depots are busy commercial operations and their insurance company will not allow the general public to visit their yard for safety purposes.

What’s the delivery process like?

We pride ourselves on personalized service! Our dedicated team ensures timely delivery with careful handling of your container, tailored to your schedule and site requirements. Cotnainers can be delivered in one of the following ways:

Roll Off: When using a roll off, the shipping container will arrive on a trailer that will tilt back and place the edge of the container on the ground. The trailer will pull away and allow the container to slide, or roll, off onto the ground.

Flat Bed/Hotshot: When delivered on a flat bed or hotshot, our 20ft and 40ft shipping containers will arrive on a flatbed trailer attached to a truck. The customer will need to provide a means to lift the container off the trailer, which could be a crane, forklift or any other heavy equipment.

What is the delivery timeline?

Timelines always depend on a few factors, such as your location, when we receive your payment, weather conditions and more. Our Logistics department will contact you to schedule a date and time for delivery. We usually say we are about a week out. Please ensure that both your phone number and email address are provided when ordering.

Delivery typically takes 5 to 7 business days after payment is received, depending on your location and the availability of drivers. We'll keep you updated throughout the process and coordinate the logistics to ensure a smooth delivery.

Where will the cargo door face when the container is delivered?

When scheduling your container delivery, you should tell us what direction you want the doors to face when the container is on the ground. That helps us figure out the “door orientation,” which refers to the direction the doors should face when loaded on the trailer.

Think about where you want the driver to place the shipping container and then also consider the shipping container’s surroundings. Those factors will help you decide between:

Doors to Cab:

The container doors are facing the front of the truck (toward the cab). This means the doors will be the last thing off the trailer during delivery. Ideal if you want the doors to face the back of your property or away from the drop-off point.

Doors to Rear:

The container doors are facing the back of the truck. This means the doors will be the first thing off the trailer when it's unloaded.

Do you sell 53' Shipping Containers?

Yes, but due to the length and height of these containers you will have to assist in unloading the trailer and require a special type of transport. In most cases you will need a forklift or a crane that can lift 12,000 lbs. Please get in contact with us so we can check availability in your area.

What's the difference between a standard Container and High Cube Container?

The main difference between a standard container and a high cube container is height—high cube containers are exactly 1 foot taller, which can make a big difference depending on your needs.

Is Transport included in the cost of the shipping container?

Delivery isn’t included, but we’ve partnered with trusted local transporters and pass along their rates at no extra cost. Just provide your delivery zip code, and our team will send you an accurate shipping quote.

What specialty containers do you offer?

We offer a range of specialty containers, including Refrigerated, Open Side, Double Door, and more. Reach out for additional details or to discuss your specific needs.

I need to export my shipping container, can you help with that?

Absolutely! While we don’t handle the process ourselves, we can refer you to a trusted international freight forwarder who can take care of all your international shipping needs.

Can I pick up my container?

Yes! You’re more than welcome to arrange your own transport. Within 48–72 hours after payment, we’ll provide you with a release. Just be sure to check with the depot beforehand to ensure you meet all entry requirements.
